GM0 - Introduction to making digital games with visual tools
PG0 - What is game programming?
In this video we will introduce you to the basics of a digital game, and show how basic types of games can be built: a visual-coding game make in GameMaker, and a script-based game made in C.
We’ll dive into how to create game with these two tools in further videos. The visual-based tool, GameMaker, will be covered in the rest of this part of the curriculum (PG). You can find tutorials for more advanced games made with C in the programming section (CP).
